CoinGate enables native XRP payment option for merchants

by | Feb 1, 2019

On January 9th, Coingate, a payment gateway for blockchain payments based in Lithuania, seeked the community’s opinion regarding their next integration.

Three weeks after winning the poll, native XRP support has been added for Coingate customers, meaning XRP is now accepted as payment at thousands of vendors across the Net.

XRP coin owners can now use it as a means of payment at more than 4,500 shops online. Once Coingate vendors will start getting XRP payments, they will have an option to instantly settle the revenue in Euros, Bitcoin, Ether, or keep the funds in XRP – whichever they prefer!

Coingate has already been running a validator since January 28th and is also offering XRP trading with EUR and USD.
