BRD wallet is a simple and secure onramp to bitcoin, ethereum, and other digital currencies. BRD users can also purchase bitcoin using a variety of methods, including credit card, in-person purchases at a bitcoin ATM, or a convenience store and convert it into other digital assets.
On October 11th, BRD announced a strategic collaboration with Ripple’s developer company Xpring. According to the announcement Xpring will provide an investment of $750,000 to enable BRD to implement the XRP Ledger.
Xpring has recently launched a platform for software developers, so they can implement XRP payments and announced that BRD would be one of the new participants to the XRP ecosystem.
Adam Traidman, the chief executive of BRD stated that:
“We’re incredibly excited about joining forces with Ripple to bring XRP to our user base. Ripple understands the need for a strong wallet partner as they push into key markets like cross border banking and remittance, so we are thrilled to help them achieve their goals. In addition, it is our plan to have BRD be the cheapest and easiest place to buy XRP moving forward.”
Senior Vice President of Xpring, Ethan Beard, also commented on the news:
“At Xpring, we support mission-driven companies that have the potential to transform money. The BRD team has helped consumers onramp $6B worth of traditional currencies into digital currency, making them an ideal partner to continue the proliferation and adoption of cryptocurrencies like XRP to solve real-world problems.“
