XRP now supported on more than 3000 ATMs worldwide

General Bytes is a Bitcoin, Blockchain and Cryptocurrency ATM manufacturer, based in Prague, Czech Republic and Bradenton, Florida, USA. It brings Android, Bitcoin and blockchain based technologies to new and unexpected places.

According to a reddit post from December 28th, General Bytes has now added support for XRP, on all ATMs sold to date. This means that even machines that already exist are now compatible with XRP. It’s worth mentioning that all ATMs are individually owned and operated so an operator might not yet carry XRP in their ATMs.

Indeed, General Bytes’ website confirms that XRP (please use the correct logo GB, it’s not Ripple) has been added to the list of supported coins.

According to General Bytes’ statistics, currently there are 3117+ ATM’s, 123+ fiat currencies supported across 63+ countries. You can also view a map of all the ATM’s on their website.

Making XRP more easily accessible across the world helps adoption and liquidity, making Ripple’s mission easier. Let’s not forget that only 4 months ago Xpring invested in Coinme, a U.S.-based cryptocurrency ATM provider and the operator of more than 2500 ATMs.
