ODL which was formerly known as xRapid has seen increasing volume since its commercial launch at Ripple’s SWELL 2018.
With a view to making cross-border remittances cheaper & much faster for those who need it, Ripple have built a robust product.

I’d hope, if Leonidas is still contributing to this site in several years time, that we may see many more exchanges in the “Internet of Value”.

Extrapolating and crunching numbers

It will take $15 million USD per day in each ODL corridor. If Ripple can grow to 10 corridors, each doing $15 million USD in daily payments. This $150 million per day equals 8.6% of daily XRP volume, as reported by CMC. Daily volume approx $1.76 billion. This is probably fake and too high. That’s a different discussion.

$15 million USD daily is not far fetch. Bitso xrp payments is around $3.4 million daily.
This represents 12% of MoneyGram’s Mexico payment. They plan on expanding digital payments.
